At Bodegas Viñátigo we proudly celebrate the recognition given to our fellow winemaker, María Elena Batista Herrera, who has been awarded the ENOMAQ 2025 Winemaker Award in the Professional Career category. This prestigious award highlights her exceptional contribution to the world of winemaking and her commitment to excellence in each of the various projects she has led.
Elena Batista, PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of La Laguna and Master in Viticulture and Oenology from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, has worked at Bodegas Viñátigo for more than 25 years, playing a key role in research work related to the identification, recovery and enhancement of the varietal heritage of the Canary Islands. Her participation in numerous projects related to this work has been a great contribution to the Canary Islands wine sector in general and to Viñátigo in particular.
Elena is the reflection of the passion and talent that define Bodegas Viñátigo. Her vision and dedication have contributed to the development of wines that represent the best of our land, always with a focus on sustainability and respect for the natural environment.
The award ceremony will take place on February 11, 2025, during the 24th edition of ENOMAQ in Zaragoza, where excellence in the wine and oil sector will be celebrated.
